Bee Brand KOZAN WINE
Japan Heritage
Bee Brand KOZAN WINE was a rather sweet-tasting Japanese wine made and marketed by Kamiya Denbee in 1881.
At that time, many Japanese people were unfamiliar with wine. For this reason, he changed the wine’s flavor slightly by adding honey and some medicinal herbs to imported wine to make it more suitable to the Japanese palate. KOZAN WINE became a big hit and was a source of funds for the construction of the Ushiku Chateau.
