Medals awarded to Ushiku Wine at various international exhibitions.
The photo shows a bottle of Ushiku Wine that was produced at Ushiku Chateau over 100 years ago. Even today its seal is unbroken. In the Meiji period (1868 - 1912), bottles of Ushiku Wine were entered into various overseas exhibitions, including in England and France, and on many occasions the winery products were awarded gold medals. Thus Ushiku Wine was very much appreciated overseas, as well as at home.
