storage room
Chateau Kamiya was Japan's first full-scale winery, founded in 1903. The office, fermentation chamber and storage room are still extant. They have great historic value and in 2008 were designated by the government as important cultural properties. In 2020, they were certified as Japan Heritage.
The storage was a facility where secondary fermentation and aging of wine were carried out. It is currently used as the Ushiku Chateau restaurant.
