Iwaibashi Bridge
Japan Heritage/Civil Structure
This bridge was constructed in 1931 and is popularly known as "megane-bashi (the eye-glasses bridge)" among the locals. It was originally built of wood, but was reconstructed from concrete. This made it possible to transport heavy loads of grapes and wine to Katsunuma Station. Iwaibashi has been designated a tangible cultural property by the Japanese government.
