94Former Chateau Kamiya wine-making facilities
Japan Heritage/Architecture
Chateau Kamiya was Japan's first full-scale winery, founded in 1903. The office, fermentation chamber and storage room are still extant. They have great historic value and in 2008 were designated by the government as important cultural properties. In 2020, they were certified as Japan Heritage.
The fermentation room is the main facility for wine and cider brewing in the Ushiku brewery, and it has a basement sapling yard and a washing yard.
